Privacy Policy
Information we collect
Account data: your email address, a display name, your chosen newsroom handle, and your password - which is stored only as a salted PBKDF2 hash, never in readable form.
Submission data: everything you provide on the submission form (headline, summary, body, images, category, tags, website, issued-by name, contact email, address, and country).
Technical data: request logs and abuse reports required to run and protect the platform.
What is public
Press releases are public by design. Your headline, summary, body, images, category, tags, website, issued-by name, contact email, address, country, and newsroom handle appear on your published release page, in RSS feeds, and in search engines.
Your login email and password are never published.
How we use it
To publish your releases, send transactional email about your account and submissions (verification links and status notices), prevent spam and abuse, and operate the service.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share account data with third parties except the payment processor used for optional Premium upgrades.
Cookies and sessions
We use a single first-party cookie to keep you signed in. It contains a random session token only - no tracking, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics cookies.
Transactional email (account verification and release status notices) is sent from our platform through our email provider. Contact emails you publish on releases are visible to the public.
Retention
Published releases remain public unless removed under our Terms of Service. Account data is retained while your account is active; sessions expire after 30 days.
Your choices
You may request correction or deletion of your account data by contacting us. Deleting an account does not automatically remove published releases, which may remain as public records.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page.
